Contactless payments with AIK Banka Mastercard® payment cards are fast, secure, and now even easier.

How do I activate the Apple Pay service?

Open the Wallet app on your Apple device and click on the '+' sign.

Add your card by taking a photo of it or manually entering the card details.

Confirm your identity by entering the code received via SMS or by calling the Contact Centre.

What are the prerequisites for using the Apple Pay service:
To use Apple Pay, you need to have: • iPhone 6, iPad mini 3, iPad Pro, Apple Watch 1, or a newer model • Operating system version iOS 8.1 or newer • Screen lock security set up (fingerprint - Touch ID or face scan - Face ID)

Where can I use Apple Pay?

With the Apple Pay service, you can make quick, easy, and contactless payments using your AIK Banka Mastercard® payment card with just your iPhone or Apple Watch. You can pay:

How is the payment made?
1. Hold your Apple device near the POS terminal, just like you would with your payment card (if your device is not recognised, you need to double-click the 'Home' button to activate Apple Pay). 2. Unlock your Apple device and hold it near the POS terminal to confirm the payment. If you are paying with an Apple Watch, only the first transaction will require these two steps. For each subsequent transaction, no authorisation is needed as long as the watch remains on your wrist—simply hold the watch near the POS terminal. If you remove the watch from your wrist, the payment process will need to be repeated as explained above.

Can I add the same card to Apple Wallet on multiple Apple devices?

Yes, you can use your AIK Banka Mastercard® payment card on multiple Apple devices.

How many cards can I add to Apple Wallet on the same device?

You can add between 8 and 12 cards to Apple Wallet on one device, depending on the device model. On iPhone 8, Apple Watch Series 3, and all newer models, you can add up to 12 cards, while older models have a maximum limit of 8 cards.

Is there a fee for using Apple Pay?

There are no fees for using the Apple Pay service.

How do I deactivate a card used for payments via Apple Pay?

In the Apple Wallet app, select the card you wish to deactivate, then choose the option 'Remove this card.'

Do I use the PIN linked to my actual card when paying with Apple Pay?

No, the PIN linked to your actual card is never used for verification via Apple Pay. The transaction is authorised using one of the screen unlock methods set up on your device—either fingerprint (Touch ID) or face recognition (Face ID).

What should I do if I lose my Apple device with an active Apple Pay service?

In case of loss or theft of a device with an active Apple Pay service, or if the card activated within the Wallet app is lost, inform the bank immediately by calling our Contact Centre at 0800 101015. You can also locate your device via iCloud and remove all cards from the Wallet app (in Settings, select My Devices).
